PENDEKATAN ANALISIS SWOT SALAH SATU STRATEGI MEMBANGUN KINERJA UMKM

Abstract

Upaya Dinas Koperasi dan UMKM Malang Raya, mendorong terwujudnya UMKM sebagai kekuatan perekonomian yang dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masayarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan strategi pengembangan kinerja UMKM di Malang Raya berbasis SWOT. Data primer yang diperoleh dengan pengisian kuesioner oleh responden dalam 120 UMKM yang tersebar Kabupaten/Kota di Malang Raya. Alat analisis yang digunakan adalah SWOT, bertujuan mengidentifikasi dan mengetahui seberapa besar kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan hambatan pengembangan UMKM di Malang Raya. Hasil evaluasi faktor internal dan eksternal UMKM di Malang Raya secara keseluruhan maupun per kota menunjukkan bahwa UMKM sudah pada posisi yang bagus, yaitu pada Kuadran I. Dengan demikian, maka dapat diterapkan strategi SO. Hasil pemetaan analisis SWOT terhadap faktor yang mempengaruh tumbuh dan berkembangnya UMKM di Malang Raya adalah memperlihatkan posisi strategis. Alternatif strategi yang dapat diterapkan kedepan pada masa mendatang adalah strategi pengembangan pasar, sehingga perlu memberikan dukungan pada  UMKM dalam capaian global. Perlu pula dibentuk adanya lembaga sarana bantuan pengembangan usaha utamanya pada UMKM, agar strategi pemberdayaan UMKM berkembang.
