Author Guidelines

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LEGAL SPIRIT JOURNAL


1. Manuscripts written for LEGAL SPIRIT include research results, field research or literature research and articles that reflect law, humanities, and human rights.

2. Manuscripts are written in Indonesian or English. The writing system for research results is the title, author's name, abstract with keywords, introduction, discussion or analysis, conclusion, and references.

3. Manuscripts are typed using Microsoft Word program on HVS A4 paper, 3000-7000 words or 10-20 pages in Cambria size 12 pts and 1.5 spaces.

4. Manuscripts must be submitted directly to https://publishing-widyagama.ac.id/ejournal-v2/index.php/jhls/ by creating a user account as the author

5. The title of the manuscript should not exceed 19 words. The title is typed in capital letters using Corbel font size 14 pt

6. The author's name is written without an academic degree, followed by the name of the author's institution, which is located under the title of the manuscript.

7. Abstracts and keywords must be written in two languages (English and Indonesian). The length of each abstract is about 150-250 words, while the keyword limit is 3-5 words. Abstract, at a minimum, must contain the objectives, methods and results of the research

8. Tables and figures must have titles and have clear numbers and sources, and be typed in one space. In the case of pictures or drawings, it is better to attach a white-black format

9. The reference list contains only the sources referred to, and all sources mentioned must be mentioned in the list. Reference sources comprise, at least, 80% of the published printed literature. References are sources in the form of research articles in journals or in research reports (including theses, master theses, dissertations, books, and other related publications). Articles published in LEGAL SPIRIT are recommended to be used as references

10. Check every referenced article for accuracy and make sure every work cited in the article is listed in the Bibliography and References. Citation using APA Style and footnote. Furthermore, works that are not cited but are mentioned in the Bibliography or Reference will be removed by the editor.

11. All manuscripts are studied anonymously by reviewers appointed by editors according to their expertise. Authors are given the opportunity to revise the manuscript based on reviews or recommendations / suggestions from the editor. The decision to publish or reject will be informed via the author's email address.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
