Reformulasi Perlindungan Buruh Perempuan pada Industri Garmen Indonesia

The protection of women workers and the Indonesian national legal system has actually been regulated in the Manpower Law which has been amended in several parts of the article in the Cipker Law. The regulation has actually been equipped with the role of labor inspectors who have the function of supervising and enforcing if there is a violation in the field of labor. However, until now there are still many violations of the protection of women workers' rights, especially in the garment industry. The author in this research aims to analyze the problematic protection of women workers who work in the Indonesian garment industry and find reformulation of labor protection arrangements as a solution to the problems that occur. This research method is conducted with the type of normative research through conceptual approaches and legislation. The legal materials used are primary and secondary legal materials obtained from literature studies which the author analyzes with argumentative techniques. The results of this study indicate that there has been a vacuum in sanctions regarding the time limit for labor inspectors to supervise companies in their jurisdiction. Therefore, further regulations are needed regarding workers' menstrual leave permits, the establishment of sanctions in Article 81 paragraph (1) and the supervision period in the Manpower Law.References
